The ancient Egyptians hoped that after their death, they would live forever in the “Reed Fields” of Aaru, where they could live in peace, prosperity, happiness, where they were free to hunt, gather and fishing. But if the heart and feathers are in balance, they will be declared “telling the truth” and can begin their journey to the “Field of Reeds” of Aaru.
